Rohit Sharma’s class, Jasprit Bumrah’s precision, and team brilliance propel the Mumbai Indians into Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025.

The brilliant performance by the entire squad of Mumbai Indians and the fighting spirit took away the Eliminator Game from Gujarat Titans.

Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans finished in third and fourth place in the points table, and that’s why they are going to face each other in the Eliminator.

The team that wins the Eliminator will play the second Qualifier, in which the team that lost the first Qualifier will be there.

Therefore, Mumbai Indians will be facing Punjab Kings in the second qualifier of IPL 2025, and whoever wins the match is going to play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the finals on 3rd June.

Match Details

The Eliminator was all set to be played in New Chandigarh as Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat first.

Mumbai Indians Innings

Rohit Sharma was all set to open with Jonny Bairstow, who was the replacement for Will Jacks.

They both started great, and even the players of Gujarat Titans dropped some catches.

Power hitting was seen from both ends when Sai Kishore broke their partnership by taking the wicket of Jonny.

Suryakumar walked in, and on the other hand, Rohit completed his half-century.

They both added runs to the total but then lost their wickets when Tilak and Hardik came to bat.

They both provided the ending knock for the Mumbai Indians and took them to a total of 228 for the loss of five wickets.

Gujarat Titans Innings

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill opened the innings for them Trent Boult in the first over took the wicket of Gill.

Kusal Mendis came to bat and started to hit the boundaries Sai was also playing great shots from the other end.

Kusal going on got hit wicket in the over of Santner sending in Washington Sundar.

Sai completed his half-century on the other hand, and with Sundar, they were taking away the game from MI.

Bumrah was called into attack, and he broke their partnership by taking the wicket of Sundar.

Soon Sai also lost his wicket, and then, in the end, MI stopped GT batters at the score of 208 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Mumbai Indians won the match by 20 runs and made their place in the qualifier 2 and will be playing against Punjab Kings on 1st June at Ahmedabad.
