NEW DELHI: The former Indian skipper, president of Bengal cricket association and the advisor of Delhi Capitals’ Sourav Ganguly who received a notice from the BCCI’s ombudsman DK JAIN regarding his alleged conflict of interest, has now replied the ombudsman regarding the issue.

In his defense, Ganguly said,” In my respectful submission, there is no direct or indirect interest, compromising roles, commercial conflict. prior responsibility or position of influence within the meaning of the BCCI constitution which may differ my involvement with the Delhi capitals”

He was also connected with the administration and management who was helping the IPL in its smooth running. But he clarified that all his connection with other Franchise or board is over since the time he joined Delhi capitals.

The former Indian captain also quoted that he was not a part of any committee that was overseeing the organization of the ongoing Indian Premier League.

He also added,” At present, I do not hold any post whatsoever or howsoever in the BCCI. I am neither a member of the Apex council of the BCCI Nor an office bearer nor a member of any of the Cricket Committee constituted by the BCCI under its Constitution. I am also not connected with the administration, management or running of the IPL by being a member of any of the committee or other organizational units set up by the BCCI in connection with the IPL.

Ganguly also quoted that he had been the part of the Technical Committee of the IPL but later he resigned from the post. He also added that he has no connection with his former team KKR.

The next match between KKR and DC is scheduled to be held on April 12. It will be interesting to see these 2 team Fighting with each other.
