India’s star batswoman, Smriti Mandhana is celebrating her 21st birthday today. Wishes are coming from all over India for her well being and better future. Mandhana has played an important role in the team’s campaign in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup in England. As she belongs to a family from a cricketing background, she is taking the family’s legacy forward.
Before the World Cup, she suffered an injury in the women’s Big Bash League in January where she ruptured an anterior-cruciate ligament. Since then, she had undergone an intense recovery session in the National Cricket Academy in order to make her comeback in the Indian team for World Cup. And she celebrated her comeback with a brilliant 90 off 72 balls against England.
Cricket legends like Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina also wished the birthday girl on Twitter.
