SINGAPORE: PV Sindhu advances to the semifinal of Singapore open as she defeated World No. 18 Cai Yanyan of China by 21-13 17-21 21-14. She is now all set to meet his Arc Rival Nozomi Okuhara in the Semi-Finals.
It was an interesting battle between the two as after winning the first Set Sindhu got the early advantage. But in the second set, Cai bounced back and clinched the set by 21-17. People were enjoying this contest as they were witnessing the best badminton from the two. In the final set outclassed Cai Yanayan and won the match by 21-13 17-21 21-14.
But unfortunately, Saina Nehwal couldn’t get over the line, she got defeated by the world former world champion, Nozomi Okuhara in a straight set of 21-8 21-13.
Now the Arc rivals Okuhara and Sindhu will go face to face in the semifinal of the tournament. Both know each other’s game really well as they fought many a time. It is going to be interesting to see that whose’s gonna advances to the finals between the two.
