South African batsmen made them win the second T-20I against India.

India is on a tour of South Africa, which consists of three T-20Is, three ODIs, and two test matches.

Rohit, Virat, and many other players are not in the T-20 and ODI squads.

They will return for the test matches as Suryakumar is leading the T-20I team now.

KL Rahul will lead the ODI team in front of South Africa.

The first T-20I was played on December 10th in Durban.

The match wasn’t played because rain interrupted the game.

Match Details

The second T-20I was going to be played at Gqeberha.

South Africa won the toss and elected to field first.

India Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill opened the innings for India.

They weren’t able to give a good start to their team, as Jaiswal lost his wicket in the first over.

Shubman lost his wicket in the second over as India got breakthroughs.

Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav handled the situation from them as they took forward the innings.

They started to use the powerplay well and started to hit great shorts.

Tilak lost his wicket in the sixth over of the powerplay as India was at 55/3.

Surya and Rinku handled the situation as Suryakumar completed his half-century.

Shamshi didn’t let him go for long, as he took his wicket.

Rinku Singh soon completed his half-century as he played an amazing knock of 68 runs.

With his knock, India reached a total of 180/7 in the 19.3 over when rain interrupted the game.

South Africa Innings

Due to rain, the match was reduced to 15 overs as SA got a target of 152 runs.

Reeza Hendricks and Matthew Breetzke opened the innings for them.

They started great, as when Matthew got run out while trying to cover the single.

Aiden came into bat as he also stood and started to score runs.

Mukesh Kumar took his wicket, and in the next over, Kuldeep Yadav took the wicket of Reeza.

The short knocks by the players in the end made South Africa win the match.

They won the match in just 13.5 overs, and Tabraiz was chosen as the Player of the Match.
