Sri Lanka and the Netherlands have made their way forward in the World Cup.
Before the World Cup, group-stage matches were going on to decide the remaining top four.
Eight teams were divided into two subgroups and matches were played from October 16th.
Group A
Group A had Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, Namibia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Sri Lanka has already enhanced their way to the top twelve.
SL has won two matches out of three against the Netherlands and UAE.
By winning the two matches with a net run rate of 0.667, they qualified for the top twelve and will be placed in group 1.
SL will be in the group of Australia, England, New Zealand, and Afghanistan.
The other team that qualified from Group A is the Netherlands.
The Netherlands’ winning two matches against Namibia and the UAE extended their journey in the World Cup.
They will be placed in Group 2 of the World Cup.
The other group members of the Netherlands will be India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
Group B
Group B includes Scotland, Zimbabwe, the West Indies, and Ireland.
Scotland stands in the first position and Zimbabwe in the second.
All four teams have won one match each, and the top two will be decided by the further matches.
Tomorrow there will be two matches Ireland will be facing the West Indies at Hobart at 9:30 AM.
Scotland will be facing Zimbabwe at 1:30 PM at the same venue.
Whichever team wins the match will head further into the top twelve.
The topper of group B will be placed in group 2, whereas the second place holder will be placed in group 1.
World Cup
The top 12 will be determined after both matches take place tomorrow.
The top twelve teams’ World Cup will start on October 22nd.
Australia and New Zealand will be playing in the first match of the World Cup.
The match will be held in Sydney and will start at 12:30 PM.
Starting from October 22nd, the World Cup will be played till November 13th.
The final will be played at Melbourne Stadium on November 13th and will start at 1:30 PM.
