The Asian Cup champions Sri Lanka is all set for the tour of India.

After India won the first match they were in the advantage stage.

In the three T-20I series, India was at 1-0.

If India wins the next match they will automatically also win the series.

Sri Lanka wasn’t gonna let go of the series this easily.

The next match was going to be played in Pune as Sri Lanka was also prepared.

Match Details

The match was played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.

India won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Sri Lanka Innings

Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis opened for SL.

They both gave a firing start to their team and started getting runs with a good run rate.

The Indian bowlers were not able to break the partnership as they were hitting big hits.

They both contributed 80 runs partnership in just eight overs when Kusal lost his wicket to Chahal.

Indian bowlers tried to come back in the game by taking a few wickets.

Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka had other plans for the ending.

They both made scored more than 50 runs in the last three overs making the total reach above 200.

Dasun’s outstanding knock of 56 runs took SL to a total of 206/6.

Arshdeep Singh bowled five no balls as Umran took three wickets.

Indian Innings

Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill opened the Innings for India.

They both failed to give a good start to the team as they lost their wickets soon.

Suryakumar and Axar Patel tried to handle the situation.

India already lost five wickets by that time although they brought back hope.

They both hit their half-centuries taking India a step closer to victory.

As the ending came by and the moment to finish the game they lost their wickets.

As the match ended India lost the match by 16 runs.

Dasun Shanaka was chosen as the Player of the Match for taking two wickets and scoring 56 runs.

Now, who will win the series will be decided based on who will win the last T-20I match.
