Kidambi Srikanth

Kidambi Srikanth, the star shuttler of India has achieved one more benchmark in his basket. According to the latest updated rankings of Badminton World Federation (BWF), he has entered the top ten in the men’s singles rankings and has secured eight ranks, moving three spots above. This is for the first time in ten months that he has made a place in the top-10 rankings.

Recently, Srikanth has defeated the World Champion and Olympic gold medalist, Chen Long to win the Australian Open Superseries. Previously, he has won Indonesia Open a couple of weeks ago which makes him the only badminton player to win consecutive Superseries title.

Before this, the 24-year-old had last reached the top ten in October 2016. His career-high ranking still remains No 3, which was achieved in June 2015, and he will probably try to get his rankings better in the next tournament as according to him, he is in the best form of his career.
