BHUBNESHWAR: The former ISL winners Chennaiyin FC will now meet FC Goa in the finals of Super Cup 2019 at Kalinga stadium on Saturday. The Chennaiyin FC comfortably beats the ATK by 2-0.
In the first half of the match, both teams went Goal-less. Both weren’t allowing each other to score a goal.
But in the second half of the match, Chennaiyin in form players Anirudh Thapa and CK Vineeth scored goals for their team. First, it was CK Vineeth who scored the opening goal of the match in the 50th minute of the match. He headed the ball to the Goalpost and gave a 1-0 lead to his team.
The momentum was carried forward by fellow-mate Anirudh Thapa who scored the second goal for his club in the 58th minute of the match and gave the invincible lead of 2-0 to Chennaiyin FC.
In the span of 8 minutes, Chennaiyin FC got the invincible lead of 2-0. It was then hard for ATLETICO DE KOLKATA to come back in the match. The Duo of Anirudh-Vineeth knocked the opposition out of the tournament as Chennaiyin FC will now face FC goa in the Final of Super Cup on Saturday at Kalinga stadium.
