The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to hear the petition filed by the BCCI after two weeks. The petition is for an amendment in its constitution which would decide the tenures of its president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah.
A Bench of Chief Justice of India Sharad A Bobde and L Nageswara Rao said that the Court cannot hear the applications next week. It stated that the Court is busy with the Maratha reservations case till next week.
The BCCI application was not listed for hearing. However, the list mentioned it. The CJI stated that the Court will also hear the separate applications by cricket associations of Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh after a fortnight.
