Suresh Raina turns 33: Wishes pour in from Cricket fraternity

Suresh Kumar Raina, the Batsman of Indian Cricket Team is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. He is considered one of the best fielders in the world. He is the first Indian batsman to a century in all formats of international cricket – Tests, ODI and T20. He has played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is. He is considered the best for limited over matches.

He made his ODI debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka, he made his Test series debut after 5 years against Sri Lanka. He was a part of the 2011 ICC World Cup Squad, which got India its 2nd world cup home after 28 years. He played his last ODI against England in July 2018. He is the vice-captain for Chennai Super Kings.

He has scored 5368 runs from 189 innings for CSK where he has smashed 189 sixes in the IPL. He is on the fifth spot in the list of batsmen with the most number of sixes in the tournament. He is considered as the king of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Suresh Raina loves singing and cooking. In an interview, he said, “when he was chosen as the captain of the Indian Cricket Team, he cooked for his team.”
