The future of the 33 year old does not look quite promising with CSK. Earlier Suresh Raina made his way towards the exit and departed to India due to personal reasons. Several reports have claimed that CSK could part ways with Suresh Raina before 2021. Recently 13 members of the CSK camp were tested positive for the virus which included two squad members Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar. It has also been reported that the Team management of CSK were quite unhappy with Suresh Raina’s “conduct” and that is what infuriated N Srinivasan who is the owner of CSK and also the former president of BCCI.

A source revealed that CSK has different sets of principles and norms. The team offers the coach, captain and vice captain to have their private suites where ever they travel. Suresh Raina also gets a suite but this time it was reported that his suite did not have a balcony.

Looking back at the situation, the issue is said to be quite small in terms of his decision to fly back to India. Not to forget the rise of Covid-19 cases in the CSK camp. Sources have claimed that Raina is very well gone now and will not be part of CSK even in the 2021 season.

The most loved player by the Chennai Super Kings supports ‘Chinna Thala’ might not wear the yellow jersey ever again. CSK has already cleared that Raina won’t be a part of the team this season. Some of sources have mentioned that CSK are counting on the young Ruturaj to deliver in place of Raina. The terms between Raina and CSK have heated up and we can very well see Suresh Raina in the IPL auction next year.

The issue of Raina leaving UAE has been represented in the form of Bubble breach. According to sources an apology from Raina would not have any impact on the team as they have already decided to move on. The management of CSK has not yet asked for any official replacement for the left handed batsman.

Suresh Raina has delivered for CSK and the numbers speak for themselves. Suresh Raina is the highest run scorer for the team with 4527 runs in his 164 IPL matches. He is also the second highest run scorer in the IPL history with 5368 runs only behind the RCB skipper Virat Kohli who is leading the race with 5412 runs.

Chennai Super Kings are not looking forward for an apology but are working on preparing Ruturaj to deliver and take his place with the likes of Dhoni and Fleming who can keep the flame alive with their brilliant strategic moves.
