Suryakumar becomes the second Indian to score two centuries in the same calendar year.

The first century came against the English team in July, but India lost the game against them.

Following the World Cup, India embarked on a tour of New Zealand to begin preparations for the ODI World Cup.

The first match was ruined due to heavy rainfall.

Second Match

The second match is to be played on Mount Maunganui.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first.

India Innings

Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant opened the innings for India.

They both gave the team a sluggish start, though Ishan also played some excellent shots.

Lockie Ferguson ended the partnership by dismissing Rishabh.

The ICC’s top-ranking batsman, Suryakumar, also known as SKY, came out to bat.

Suryakumar is coming in and proving to everyone why he is the number-one batsman in the world.

He showcased his talent and class flawlessly as he started to hit the ball around every corner.

No other batsmen were able to support him from the other end.

Despite the wickets falling from one end, Suryakumar kept on going from the other end.

He soon completed his half-century and was taking India to a significant total.

In the 19th over, Suryakumar hit four fours and an outstanding six to complete his century.

It was the second T-20I century coming from his bat in the same calendar year.

This was only done by Rohit Sharma before, and now Sky has added his name to the list.

Tim Southee changed the stats with an outstanding hat trick in the final over.

With the century of Sky India put up a total of 191/6.

New Zealand Innings

Finn Allen and Devon Conway opened the inning for the Black Caps.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck in the first over, taking Allen’s wicket.

Devon and Kane Williamson took the innings forward.

Wickets kept going from one side when Kane completed his half-century.

The bowlers didn’t let the batsmen from New Zealand score runs.

Deepak Hooda took three wickets in the 18th over and sent all of New Zealand’s batsmen back to the pavilion.

India won the match by a huge margin of 65 runs.

Suryakumar was chosen as the Player of the Match for his century.
