Suryakumar Yadav becomes the new T-20I captain of the Indian team.

India just lifted the T20 World Cup last month.

After winning the cup, the captain of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma, announced his retirement.

He officially retired from T20 cricket and will continue playing ODI and test formats.

Hardik Pandya was the vice-captain in the T20 World Cup.

But now, the new committee has chosen Suryakumar as the new captain.

Shubman Gill will be assisting him as the team’s vice-captain.

Apart from the captaincy, the team for the tour of Sri Lanka has also been announced.

T20I Team

Suryakumar will lead the team in the T-20I, as Shubman will assist him.

Apart from them, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, and Riyan Parag will strengthen the batting line-up.

Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are the two wicketkeepers.

Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, and Ravi Bishnoi are the all-rounders.

Whereas, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Khaleel Ahmen, and MOHD. Siraj are the bowlers.

ODI Team

The World Cup-winning captain, Rohit Sharma, will be leading the team.

Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Iyer, and Harshit Rana will be the batting line-up.

KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant are the wicketkeepers in the team.

Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel are the all-rounders.

MOHD. Siraj, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed are the bowlers.

Date and Venue

The tour will start on 27th July and will end on 7th August.

There will be three T-20I matches and three ODI matches in the series.

The first match will be played on July 27th, followed by the second on July 28th.

The third T20 will be played on July 30th.

All the T20 matches will be played on PICS, Pallekele, starting at 7 p.m. IST.

The first ODI will be on August 2, followed by the second on August 4.

The last match will be on August 7.

All the ODI matches will be on RPICS, Colombo, starting at 2:30 p.m. IST.
