South Africa and England played the third and deciding T-20I on July 31st at Southampton.

It was going to be a deciding match as the series was at a tie of 1-1.

England won the toss and elected to field first.

First Innings

Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks opened for the SA team.

The SA team got their first breakthrough in the first over itself as David Willey bowled Quinton.

Reeza and Rilee took forward the innings. Their partnership wasn’t long enough as Moeen Ali bowled Rilee.

Aiden and Reeza handled the situation well and started to play great cricket shots.

Both of them completed their half-centuries. Great fours were seen by their bats as both of them made a partnership of 87 runs.

The great knock of 70 runs by Reeza added valuable runs to the total when he tried to flick the ball and the catch was taken by Buttler.

David Willey took three wickets, limiting the total of SA to 191 for the loss of five wickets.

Second Innings

Jason Roy and Jos Buttler opened for the English team.

Both of them gave a great start to the ENG team, but soon Maharaj gave them their first breakthrough.

As the first wicket fell, it felt like after that, no batsmen were able to stand for long in front of the SA bowlers.

Then, Keshav Maharaj and Andile Phehlukwayo gave a quick breakthrough to the ENG team.

Tabraiz Shamsi did not stay behind in taking wickets as he started to send the batsmen back to the pavilion.

Shamsi was on a hattrick as he took Sam Curran and David Willey’s wickets.

In his next over, he took two more wickets in the form of Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid.

Tabraiz took a five-wicket haul as, because of his bowling, they were able to stop the batsmen of ENG at a total of 101 for the loss of all their wickets.

In the end, SA won the match by 90 runs as Tabraiz was the Player of the Match with 5/24 bowling figures and Reeza Hendricks was the Player of the Series.

SA won the series by 2-1.
