The second playoffs of IPL 2022 were played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) and were also known as the Royal Battle to the Final.

RCB was in great form after knowing Lucknow Super Giants were out of the tournament in the knockout match, while RR was struggling and got another chance to compete and reach the finals, losing to Gujarat Titans.

RR won the toss and elected to bowl as now it’s time for  RCB to set up a high total in this qualifier match to reach the finals. As the openers came out to bat, there was a classic six by Virat’s bat, which made the fans happy, but soon enough, Prasidh Krishna took his wicket.

Rajat Patidar came out to bat, the hero of the last match. The partnership started to take off in style as there were great shots. The 70-run partnership added valuable runs to the total of their team as then Ravichandran Ashwin took a marvelous catch of Faf Du Plessis.

The half-century by Patidar at a crucial moment helped their team attain a valuable score. Prasidh Krishna took two back-to-back wickets and gave outstanding bowling figures. Meanwhile, the outstanding bowling by Prasidh Krishna and Obed Mccoy, taking three wickets each in such a big match, helped their team to stop RCB batsmen at an average score of 157 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Now, it was time for RR to chase down the runs to compete against Gujarat in the finals. RR got off to the right start, hitting massive sixes in the first over and clearly stating that they are here to win.

Great knocks came from both sides as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler were only dealing with boundaries. Jos Buttler hit massive sixes against every bowler who came to bowl. The perfect start of 61 runs by the openers when the first wicket fell increased the winning percentage of RR.

As the Jos Buttler show was on, as he was dictating the bowlers and completed his half-century century in only 23 balls, he wasn’t going to let RCB win today. He was ruling over RCB as he smashed the fourth century of IPL 2022 and finished off in style with a mind-blowing six and RR qualified for the finals of IPL 2022.

In the end, Jos Buttler was chosen as the Man of the Match for his amazing century.
