As the group stage ends, the ICC T20 World Cup gets its top eight.

The ICC T20 World Cup started on June 2nd.

In total, twenty teams took part in the T20 World Cup.

They were divided into four groups, each consisting of five teams.

After the group stages, the top teams from each group will advance to the next stage.

The top eight teams will be further divided into two groups.

Each group will have four teams, and then the top two teams from each group will get into the semifinals.

Group A

India won three out of the four matches, and the last one was abandoned.

Because of this, India finished in first place in group A.

The USA finished in second place by winning two matches.

They lost one match against India, and one match was abandoned due to rain.

Group B

In Group B, Australia topped as they won all of their matches.

For the second position, it was a tough fight against England and Scotland.

They both won two matches, but each lost one, and one match was abandoned.

England, having a better NRR, advanced to the next stage.

Group C

The West Indies performed outstandingly, as they won all their matches.

They finished in first place in Group C.

Afghanistan ended up in second place by winning three out of four matches.

The Black Caps tried hard but weren’t able to qualify for the top eight.

Group D

South Africa, performing phenomenally, won all their matches and ended up in first place.

Bangladesh ended up in second place by winning three out of four matches.

By doing so, the ICC T20 World Cup got into the top eight.

India, USA, Australia, England, West Indies, Afghanistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh qualified for the next stage.

Group 1

Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, and India are placed in the first group of the top eight.

Group 2

England, South Africa, the United States of America, and the West Indies are placed in the second group.

In both groups, the top two teams will play the semifinals, followed by the finals.
