UAE and United States played against each other on June 1st, 2022, in the tri-national series ODI at Moosa Cricket Stadium.

UAE won the toss and elected to bat, putting up a respectable score to win the match. As the match started, they lost their first wicket on the third ball itself. The early breakthrough made the start slow as they were not able to score many runs against the bowlers of the United States.

Then, as the pressure was building up to score runs, they lost their second wicket in the form of Vritiya Aravind as he was trying to clear the boundary but got caught out. Despite the slow start, eventually, a partnership of 66 runs was formed between CP Rizwan and Basil Hameed.

Soon enough, CP Rizwan completed his half-century and added valuable runs to the total score of UAE.

The great bowling performance by Ali Khan and Cameron Stevenson didn’t let them put on a big total as they were able to stop them at a low total of 203 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Now it was time for the second innings for the USA to chase down the runs to win. The start was slow yet stable as the score that they needed to chase wasn’t big.

They lost their first wicket in the eight overs in the form of Steven Taylor. Then came an outstanding partnership of 102 runs between Sushant Modani and Monank Patel, which almost gave the United States victory.

The phenomenal knock of 70 runs by Sushant Modani was the plus point in getting the victory for his team. Whereas Ahmed Raza tried his level best by taking three major wickets to stop them from winning.

In the end, USA won the match by four wickets with 31 balls to spare. Sushant Modani was selected as the Man of the Match.
