The last time these two teams played in IPL 2022 was in match number 21 in which Hyderabad beat Titans by 8 wickets.

Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first, and called their opponent to put on a score. So it was time for Hyderabad to put a big total and defend it to win the match.

The first Innings started with some great shots, it seemed like it will convert into a big total though soon enough the first wicket fell in the form of Kane Williamson followed by another quick fall of the wicket of Rahul Tripathi. They were seen in trouble as the Titans bowler wasn’t letting them score, soon after that, the partnership between Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Makram of 96 runs and their individual fifty made their way to a good total.

As it was seen that Hyderabad will score a huge total at that point came back the bowlers of Titans took some crucial wickets in a short interval of time. Since then they were seen to struggle again, as the last over got started to bowl there were four sixes in that over the three back-to-back sixes by Shashank Singh made their team achieve a total of 195 runs for the loss of 6 wickets to defend.

Hence, now it was the turn for the Titans to chase the milestone set by the Hyderabad team. In the chase, the Titans got a good start Wriddhiman Shah and Shubham Gill with their outstanding performance with the bat tried to bring their team a bit closer to the victory.

Then Urman Malik came to bowl with a mindset to rule the pitch, as he bowled Shah and soon enough took the wicket of Hardik Pandya. He was coming to take wickets only as he took wickets in all of his four overs. Clean Bowled four main batsmen of the Titans and caught out the captain. Ruled the pitch with his 5 wicket haul.

Through the amazing spell of Urman Malik he pushed the Gujarat team way back in the game, the last hope for them was Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan as the power-hitting by the two made them come close in the match the mind-blowing sixes by them, the great partnership of fifty runs and the four sixes in the last over one by Tewatia 3 by Rashid especially the last two back-to-back sixes made them win the game by five wickets.

In the end, Urman Malik of Sunrisers Hyderabad was given the Man Of The Match award.
