The ICC World Cup is around the corner, and the qualifiers have started for that.

In total, ten teams will be playing against each other to win the ICC World Cup.

So far, eight teams have already qualified for the World Cup.

The teams that qualified are India, New Zealand, Bangladesh, England, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

The remaining two teams will be decided based on qualifiers.

Zimbabwe, The Netherlands, Scotland, Oman, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the USA, UAE, the West Indies, and Ireland are in the qualifiers.

The qualifiers started on June 18th and will end on July 9th.

The teams that finish in the top two will head their way to the World Cup which will be played in India.

Qualifiers

West Indies are known for their consistency and performance.

The nation that won the inaugural and next World Cups was also in the qualifiers this year.

Apart from them, the three-time finalist and 1996 World Cup winner Sri Lanka was also in the qualifiers.

In total, ten teams have been divided into two groups, which will then be further divided into two groups of six.

The top six teams out of the ten will head towards the top six, and then out of the top six, two teams will be heading their way into the World Cup.

Groups

Group A consists of:
Zimbabwe, the West Indies, the USA, Nepal, and the Netherlands are in the first group.

Group B consists of:
Sri Lanka, Oman, Ireland, the UAE, and Scotland are in the second group.

Zimbabwe and Nepal played the first match of the qualifier, and Zimbabwe won the match by eight wickets.

The second match was played between the West Indies and the USA, and the West Indies won the match by 39 runs.

In the second group, Sri Lanka won the match against the UAE by a huge margin of 185 runs.

And Oman won the match against Ireland by five wickets.

The Netherlands and Scotland have yet to play their first matches.

All the teams are performing well and are showing great intent to qualify for the World Cup.
