The Women’s Asia Cup started on October 1st in Bangladesh.

In the Women’s Asia Cup, seven teams are competing.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, UAE, and Malaysia.

Indian women have played six matches so far and are all set to play the semi-final against Thailand on October 13th.

First Match

The first match was played against the Sri Lanka women.

SL won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Indian Women batted first, scoring 150 runs for the loss of six wickets.

With an outstanding knock of 76 runs by Jemimah Rodrigues, India reached that total.

In return, SL made a total of 109 runs as Dayalan Hemalatha took three wickets and Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar took two wickets each.

Second Match

The second match was played against Malaysian women.

ML won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The top order played well because India put up a big total of 181/4.

In return, Malaysian women made a total of 16/2 as India won by 30 runs through the DLS method.

Third match

The third match was played against the UAE women.

India won the toss and elected to bat first.

The knock of Deepti and Jemimah of 64 runs and 75 runs made India achieve a total of 178/5.

In return, Malaysian women were only able to make 74 runs.

Fourth Match

The fourth match was played against Pakistan.

Pakistan batting first put in a total of 137 runs for the loss of six wickets.

In return, India was only able to make 124 runs as they lost all their wickets.

Fifth Match

The Fifth Match was played against Bangladesh.

India won the toss and elected to bat first.

The top order didn’t disappoint, as because of their knocks India put up a total of 159/5.

Bangladesh, in return, was only able to make 100 runs.

Sixth match

The sixth match was against Thailand.

India won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The Indian bowlers did an outstanding job, taking all of Thailand’s wickets for just 37 runs.

In return, India achieved the total in just six overs.

Indian women have earned a place in the semi-finals and will play against Thailand on October 13.

The other semi-final will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
