Yet another proof of Kohli being the best batsman in the world has been received from Pakistani fast bowler, Mohammad Amir. In a chat session on Twitter, he chose Kohli as the best batsman in the world over Joe Root, Steven Smith and Kane Williamson. Replying to a question that who he thought was the best in the business among the above four batsmen, he replied: “They all are but personally Virat Kohli.”

Later he was again asked, “who is currently the best batsman in the world according to u” and he again replied Virat Kohli.

In the recent gone Champions Trophy final, Amir proved to be a nightmare for the Indian batting order. He destroyed the lifeline of Indian batting by taking wickets of Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. As a result, Pakistan was able to beat Indian by 180 runs in the Champions trophy final and won the title for the first time in history.
Both Kohli and Amir share a mutual respect and sportsmanship between them. Earlier, Kohli had praised Amir for a wonderful comeback to cricket after being released from the ban he was imposed to due to match fixing. Kohli also gifted him a bat on the eve of India-Pakistan match at the Eden Gardens during the World T20 last year.
