Vivo Pro Kabbadi League

Growing its footprint in India, Vivo has now signed up as the title sponsor of Pro Kabbadi league. Star India, media rights and format owner of Pro Kabbadi League made this announcement. Vivo is already the sponsor of Indian Premiers League (IPL).

The five-year deal, which is worth ₹300 crores, will list pro kabaddi league as the second biggest league in India, in terms of sponsorship money. Before this, the league did not have a title sponsor as Star India had not sold these rights to anyone.

Speaking on the development, Sanjay Gupta, Managing Director Star India said that PKL has completed four seasons and all of them have been largely successful. He also stated that PKL is working hard to establish Kabbadi as the biggest and most popular game in India.

Sanjay Gupta refused to talk about financials of the deal, however, he stated that any brand aiming for a mass reach, will surely join hands with PKL. From the coming season, PKL will have four new teams and a changed format, which will see the league going on for over 3 months.

Looking at the response to PKL in last 4 seasons, it will be wise to say that Vivo has claimed title sponsorship of yet another mass game in India. Since last few months, Vivo has been aggressively investing in its marketing all across India and these deals will surely bring a lot of visibility to this brand.
