AFGHANISTAN: Afghanistan, the team who had gained a lot of reputation in the Cricket after 2015 World Cup, will head with their 15 Best Men to England and Wales to play World Cup 2019.

Recently, Afghanistan changed their captain. They choose Gulabdin Naib instead of Asghar Afghan. The news was so shocking as Asghar was the protagonist in the success of Afghanistan Cricket. But nevertheless, they have now come with their final Squad.

The biggest shocking in their squad was the inclusion of Fast Bowler, Hamid Hassan who haven’t played any cricket since he got injured in July 2016. He has not appeared in First Class Cricket since 2017 because of knee and thigh injuries. Wicketkeeper Ikhram Alikhil, Karim Janat, and Javed Ahmadi didn’t get the ticket of England.

Mohd. Shezad will be the wicketkeeper and will open the inning with Hazratullah Zazai. Rehmat Shah will bat on Number 3 while Asghar, Shahidi, and Nabi will look after the middle order.

Chief Selector Dawlat Khan Ahmedzai said that “Luckily for us, the come back of senior Fast bowler Hamid Hassan is good news. However, we will take into account his form and fitness during upcoming practice matches,”

Afghanistan has one of the best spinning trios in the cricket. With the likes of Mujeeb, Rashid, and Nabi as the frontline spinners, they will have the support of Dawlat Zadran who is also an experienced Right Handed Fast Bowler. He can bowl accurately at the Starting of the inning. It will be interesting to see whether Afghanistan go with seaming option or trust the Skipper Gulabdin Naib, who can bowl in the middle of the inning.

They can either go with the extra batsmen or opt for a proper Seam/Swing Bowler. Should they play Hamid in the squad? or Give Aftab Alam a chance to showcase his talent
