BCCI: According to BCCI Officials, India has announced that with official 15 Men Squad of the World Cup, they will take 3 extra Seamers with them. The announcement is made keeping in mind That world cup is a long tournament which goes for around 1.5 months. So if there is an injury concern then they should have options with them.

The BCCI official said, “Three seamers will travel with the Indian team as main bowlers. But what if anybody gets injured? We don’t want a situation where a bowler travels at the last moment. Instead, we will select three back up bowlers who will be there for the entire World Cup. If anyone gets injured, we will have an immediate replacement,”

Batsmen need quality net practice before the match. So these extra bowlers will help to have decent net practice throughout the world cup campaign.

India had done this before. Like earlier, they sent some fast bowlers to South Africa for the same reason. Avesh Khan and Mohammad Siraj were the bowlers then. Later, during the Asia Cup in Dubai, the board had sent five India A bowlers Avesh, M Prasidh Krishna and Siddharth Kaul, along with left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem and legspinner Mayank Markande to help prepare the batsmen.

The 15 Men squad will be announced on Monday in Mumbai. It will be interesting to see who will gonna get the ticket to England.
