BANGLADESH: Just like other teams Bangladesh also announced there 15 Men Squad for the upcoming World Cup. All the big names are back in the squad. The ace all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan who missed New Zealand series due to finger injury has been named in the 15 Men squad. He is currently playing in VIVO IPL for sunrises Hyderabad after receiving no-objection certificate from Bangladesh Cricket Board.
Just like other teams, there are many obvious selections like for Bangladesh also. Tamim, Mahmudulah and Mustafizur Rehman were some of the obvious selection for them. Tamim has struggled to find an ideal partner.
Liton Das who has been remembered, as his wonderful knock against India. Since then he was struggling to get into the form. His batting average has been quite low, with 19.53 in 27 matches. Moreover, Bangladesh is going with Experience of Imrul Kayes who has been featured in World Cup 2015.
The Middle order looked quite good with the likes of Sabbir Rehman and Soumya Sarkar with Mohd Mithun who has been quite good for them. He scored 120 runs in 3 matches with 2 half-centuries.
The only surprise inclusion in the squad was Mosaddek Hossain. The 23-year-old all-rounder played his last match in 2018 at Asia Cup.
Masraffe Mortaza will lead the side and Shakib will be the Vice Captain for the team. Bangladesh will start their preparations for the mega tournament on April 22 and the team is expected to leave for the United Kingdom in the first week of May.
