Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are performing outstandingly in the World Cup Qualifiers and are close to qualifying for the World Cup.
The World Cup is all set to take place in India in October.
In total, eight teams have already qualified for the World Cup, and the remaining two will be decided by the ongoing Qualifiers.
A total of ten teams are being divided into two groups of five, from which two teams will qualify.
Teams leading
Zimbabwe is leading group one after winning three consecutive matches, followed by the Netherlands.
Sri Lanka is the leader in Group Two, as Scotland also has an equal number of match wins.
Sri Lanka is at the top because they beat the UAE by a huge margin of 175 runs.
Group One
Zimbabwe played its first match against Nepal on June 18th.
The match was in Harare, as Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to take the field first.
Nepal made a total of 290 runs as Zimbabwe chased it in 44.1 overs.
The next match was played against the Netherlands, who again won the toss and elected to field first.
The Netherlands made a total of 315 runs as the Century by Sikandar Raza made Zimbabwe achieve an easy victory.
After that, they played against the West Indies, as WI won the toss and elected to bowl first.
With the outstanding bowling performance, WI took all the wickets of ZIM for a total of 268.
WI batsmen came into bat, but the bowlers of ZIM didn’t let them achieve the total and won the match by 35 runs.
Group Two
Sri Lanka is leading group two with a net run rate of 4.220.
They won the first match against UAE by a margin of 175 runs, because of which they improved their run rate.
In the second match they played against Oman, SL won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Wanindu Hasaranga’s five-wicket haul and Lahiru Kumara’s three wickets stopped the Oman team at a total of just 98 runs.
In return, the opening batsman of Sri Lanka chased the total in just 15 overs.
Scotland has the same points as SL, as they won against the UAE and Ireland.
