Zimbabwe clutches victory over Pakistan as Ireland also beats England

World Cup 2022 is unbelievable for the fans as Zimbabwe won over Pakistan and Ireland over England.

The t-20 World Cup is in great form as there are many outstanding performances happening and mind-blowing matches.

Firstly Ireland knocked West Indies out of the World Cup from the group stages and later won the match against England.

Similarly to this Zimbabwe won over Pakistan by a single run.

Ireland v/s England

England Won the toss and elected to field first.

Ireland openers Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie weren’t able to give a great start to the team.

As Paul lost his wicket to Mark Wood and the catch was taken by Curran at deep third.

Andy and Lorcan’s partnership of 82 runs saved the game for Ireland.

With the help of their partnership, Ireland was able to put up a total of 157/10.

Jos Buttler and Alex Hales opened the innings for England.

Jos got out in the second bowl of the first over.

The England batsman took forward the game when it was interrupted by rain.

With the help of the D/L method, Ireland was declared the winner by five runs.

Zimbabwe v/s Pakistan

Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first.

Wessely Madhevere and Craig Ervine opened the innings for Zimbabwe.

None of the Zimbabwe batsmen were able to score many runs against the great pace attack of Pakistan.

Shadab Khan took two back-to-back wickets in the fourteenth over pushing back ZIM.

Similarly in the next over Mohammad Wasim took two back-to-back wickets.

These two together took seven wickets as they sent more than half of the team back to the pavilion.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam opened the innings for Pakistan.

Both the openers lost their wickets in the powerplay itself.

Sikandar Raza took two back-to-back wickets in the fourteenth over.

Brad Evans came to bowl the last over as Pakistan needed 11 runs out of six deliveries.

Pakistan scored eight runs in the first three balls when Brad took two wickets in the last two balls making Zimbabwe win the match by one run.

Sikandar Raza was declared the Player of the Match.
