The Good Life Company, an online platform for luxury tea retailing, has raised ₹6 crores ($1 Million) from the duo of Ayesha Takia and her husband, Abu Farhan Azmi. With the raised funds, the company plans to expand its operations to tier 1 cities across India including Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata. Along with national expansion, it is also aiming to get into the International markets, such as United States, United Kingdom, Middle East and Singapore.

Started in October 2016 by Bhuman Dani and Shariq Ashraf, the company has over 300 blends of tea currently. The in-house team experiments and blends new flavours of tea based on Indian, Chinese, Sri Lankan cultures. The Good Life Company counts some of the prominent names including Taj Lands End, Yauatcha, Hakkasan, Café Zoe, Cafe Basilico, Fatty Bao, AKA, Shizusan, and Smoke House Deli as its customers and claims presence in over 70 hotels and restaurants across Mumbai.

Speaking on the development, Bhuman Dani, CEO – The Good Life Company stated that funding naturally flavoured tea has always been a tough task and people usually keep a stock with them while traveling. This prompted the team to undergo an extensive R&D and the final product came out which boasts of natural ingredients and flavours.

Abu Farhan Azmi, the investor added that food industry has seen a great transformation since last few years and technology can be termed as the biggest driving force. Quality, consistency and innovation are the factors which drive a business and The Good Life Company has positioned itself pretty well in the interesting segment. Its innovative sourcing and blending options are for sure a great future aspect.
