BabyChakra appoints two new senior executives to strengthen team

BabyChakra has appointed two new senior executives - Rachita Choudhary from FreeCharge and Samarth Sawhney of Jabong and Hopscotch.

BabyChakra, a social discovery mobile platform that wants to help parents to care better for their family, is now taking steps to strengthen its team. In line with that, the company has appointed two new senior executives.

The company has announced the appointment of former FreeCharge executive Rachita Choudhary as Head of Engineering and founding member of Jabong and Hopscotch Samarth Sawhney as Head of Growth.

As per the startup, Rachita Choudhary will bring her impressive knowledge of both product and engineering which will be integral in building a robust parenting community product and driving growth at BabyChakra.

At FreeCharge, she was working as Director of Engineering, leading different tech teams across growth, payments, customer success, and product. Prior to that, she worked with Morgan Stanley and AskMe.

On the other hand, Samarth Sawhney will be responsible for driving product and marketing for India’s biggest parenting and pregnancy social-commerce platform BabyChakra.

In addition, he will also play a significant role in the overall strategy and growth of the business by working closely with function heads and the CEO of BabyChakra, said the company.
