GoMechanic, a Gurugram-based startup which provides car repair and servicing services, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding in a fresh round, from Orios Venture Partners. Angel investor Dhianu Das has also poured-in money in the seed funding round.

The newly raised capital gives the much needed boost to the company to expand its business, provide innovative solutions. It will be spending money to rapidly cover the entire Delhi NCR region. Amit Bhasin, co-founder of the company, said,

Our goal is to give car owners a seamless, professional yet affordable experience when they seek out repair and maintenance services.

Commenting on the investment in GoMechanic, Rehan Yar Khan, Managing Partner, Orios Venture Partners said,

The consistent deployment of technology and vision towards organising an un-organised industry such as the auto spare and services market makes them good partners for us.

Started in April last year by Amit Bhasin and Kushal Karwa. Prior to this funding round, in December last year, the company had raised around Rs 1.6 crore ($250,000) from Venture Catalysts.

the startup has established a technology-enabled branded network of service centres. It promises to be using original spare parts, gives warranty on services and also provides free pick and drop facility.

GoMechanic also claims to be India’s first tech-based automobile servicing solutions startup. Along with spending money on expanding its business, the company will also use the fund to form partnerships with car service centres and for customer acquisition activities.

The services offered by the Gurugram-based startup include periodic maintenance, denting painting, major repairs, car cleaning, or even changing tires and batteries, among others.
