Cybrary, which claims to be the world’s first open source cybersecurity learning and certification platform, has secured around ₹22.4 crore ($3.5 million) in its Series A funding round.

The money in the current round comes through Arthur Ventures, along with participation from Ron Gula, founder of Tenable Network Security, among other existing investors.

Commenting on the funding, Ralph Sita, cofounder and CEO, Cybrary, said,

With this latest investment, Cybrary will continue to expand its user base and content catalog, optimize and scale its enterprise learning and testing platform, and grow its marketplace for cyber security and IT learning apps.

Founded in 2015, the company now claims to have more than 1.2 million people that have learned critical cybersecurity and IT skills through its platform, which as per the company is more than any other learning platform in the world.

The platform offers skill assessments, learning, and certification preparation on popular topics such as Ethical Hacking, CompTIA A+, Security+, and CISSP, Web Application Penetration Testing, Secure Coding, NIST 800, Metasploit, etc.

The company says that through its open-source model, it is actively working to fill the gap between open cybersecurity and IT positions and experienced practitioners.

It further says that many of the world’s top companies and organizations, including Hitachi, Tenable, and Tripwire use Cybrary to develop their teams’ cybersecurity and IT skills and get certification-ready.
