Silicon Valley and Hyderabad-based camera technology startup DreamVu has raised an undisclosed amount of funds from early-stage venture capital firm SRI Capital, as reported by VCCircle.

The funds raised will be used to strengthen its product and take it to the market.

DreamVu was founded by IIIT Hyderabad alumnus Rajat Aggarwal and Rohan Bhatial in 2017. The startup provides an omni-stereo camera hardware and software platform unifying human and machine vision.

The technology enables the platform to produce high-quality images that can be used to provide augmented navigation capabilities to autonomous robots.

The startups’ solution can be used across industries like autonomous vehicles, drones, VR/AR Camera, Robotics, and Healthtech.

Talking about the investment, Jay Krishnan, Partner at SRI Capital, said, “SRI Capital is committed to backing startups with IP in areas that form the frontiers of new technologies. We were thrilled to see DreamVu’s solution with an optics- first approach that allows sensors and optics to disrupt value chains long powered by electronics and software. SRI Capital, with offices in India and the US, invests across domains like enterprise software, deep tech, and consumer tech, in the Indian and the US market. It makes early-stage investments with ticket sizes ranging from $500,000 to $3,000,000.

Some of SRI Capital’s investments in India include Foyr, VideoKen, LetsMD, Shubh Loans, and FabHotels, among many others.
