Ather Energy, a manufacturer of electric scooter, has commenced the delivery of its new e-scooter ‘Ather 450‘ from today in Chennai, reported ET.
Alongside the Ather 450 scooters, the company Ather Energy will also provide new compact home charger ‘Ather Dot‘ to the customers in Chennai.
The Bengaluru-based electric scooter maker company Ather Energy has also inked an MoU with the Chai Kings in order to double charging points to its 30 outlets across Chennai.
Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said, “The response for the consumers at the time of launch blew us away and we are looking forward to establishing ourselves in the city and servicing the strong demand for the Ather 450 in the coming months.
Ather Energy was started by Tarun Mehta, Swapnil Jain and Arun Vinayak in 2013. The platform works on the next generation electric two wheelers for the Indian market.
As per the company’s LinkedIn page, Ather is not just building the S340 but are also leading the growth of an entire new industry with a completely new technology, new platforms and with a very different vendor and charging infrastructure.
Presently, around ten fast charging point for the scooter are available in Chennai and more will be added in the months later.
