Facebook is launching a program called “SheLeadsTech initiative” to nurture aspiring women entrepreneurs by creating a strong ecosystem in which they can thrive and grow. Facebook believes that women don’t have opportunity and proper platform to grow and if they get a proper channel then they can come up with something really good and innovative and can also achieve the high targets. An interactive platform for technology related ventures, Facebook also had talk with other firms and companies to collaborate such program so that more and more women entrepreneur will get connected and people can be aware about this. “SheLeadsTech” gives women entrepreneurs access to resources, tools, they’ll get to know, how and exclusive mentorship that helps them build and scale their businesses. Individual can make choice that from what scale they want to start and Facebook will simply help them by providing mentorship and other consultancy advices. This is also a big step towards the growth and uplifting the women sector.

As per the initiative, Facebook has been reaching out to women entrepreneurs at offline meetups since March and promoting the program in their own way. They also had a talk with companies but no official list is passed out. The event will be held on 7th June, 2017 in Mumbai and if a person won’t be able to attend it, they can get connected from the Facebook “SheLeadsTech meetup”, where Anjali Bansal will be the programme mentor and Director of GlaxoSmithKline, Bata India, Tata Power and Voltas, will be the chief guest and the event will be commenced under their supervision. Their presence will motivate and inspire other women to take active participation in this program.
