Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal invests $12.5 million in data exchange platform Mobikon via series B round

Mobikon, an online platform for customer engagement tracking and marketing, has bagged $12.5 million in series B round of capital from Binny Bansal, co-founder of Flipkart, cited ET.

With the infused money, the Singapore-based platform Mobikon will pursue its mission to be the most impactful data exchange platform in the restaurant software vertical.

“Mobikon has posted a stellar growth rate in customer acquisition in the last few months, along with demonstrated improvement in key business metrics of portfolio restaurants. Their proposed expansion into Australia and further into South East Asia will give them market leadership in the restaurant-tech space.” Bansal said.

Founded in 2012 by Samir khadepaun, the platform Mobikon provides restaurants with a single dashboard for a range of services, including customer engagement, marketing, analytics and business tools for ordering, reservations, feedback, payments, marketing, etc.

The company Mobikon claims to be offering its services to more than 3,400 restaurants globally, of which about 2,000 are based in India.

Before the present funding, Mobikon, in 2017, had raised ₹45 crore from Sistema Asia Fund, Qualgro and C31Ventures in Singapore.
