Quickdel Logistics, the parent of logistics firm GoJavas, has sent a ₹300 crore legal notice to the eCommerce firm Snapdeal’s parent company — Jasper Infotech, and founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal.

Anand Rai, who acquired GoJavas and merged it with Pigeon Express, said that Snapdeal stole confidential business information such as data on employees and service vendors.

In the notice, he has accused Snapdeal and its founders of criminal breach of trust and siphoning off money from GoJavas to Vulcan Express, which is the in-house logistics firm of the Delhi-based eCommerce company.

In August last year, Snapdeal, which held over 49 percent stake in the eCommerce logistics firm GoJavas, sold their stake to Anand Rai. A report from The Times of India quotes Anand Rai saying:

I have sent them a legal notice worth ₹300 crore for criminal breach of trust against GoJavas which resulted in erosion of value of Quickdel.

The notice comes after Jasper Infotech filed a case with the Delhi Police against former promoters of Quickdel Logistics — Praveen Sinha, Randhir Singh and Ashish Chaudhary as well as Abhijeet Singh, who was previously executive director of the firm. They are accused of cheating, forgery, conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and criminal misappropriation of funds.

GoJavas was initially the in-house logistics service provider for online fashion retailer Jabong. In 2013, it was spun off from Jabong as an independent third-party logistics firm. Snapdeal first invested in GoJavas in March 2015. While the amount of investment was not disclosed, it is believed to be around ₹120 crore, for a minority stake. Later, it invested additional ₹131 crore ($20 million at that time).

Pigeon Express — a part of Quickdel Logistics, was founded in 2004. It is a logistics service provider with 135 delivery centres across India and works with the country’s leading e-commerce companies.
