According to the media sources, Hike Messenger has acquired InstaLively Livestreaming and its app Pulse. The co-founders of InstaLively, Prakhar Khanduja and Karthik Vaidyanath have talked about the transition since the beginning of this year. However, the company is all set to join the homegrown messenger app to help the company in growing by using all tactics, product development and user growth is a one that can speculate.

The userbase of InstaLively contains a number of established companies and well-known clients like Google, Airtel India, Nasscom and the Belgian embassy. The company has launched its app Pulse in October 2016 to further expand their reach in terms of userbase. Pulse is a platform that deals with the content sharing replete with full-screen visual streaming and targets college going youngsters with customised stickers.

Hike has raised 260 million dollars to date. The latest round in August 2016, increased the valuation to ₹9000 crore when it had raised ₹1120 crores from a group including, Tencent Holdings, Foxconn Technology Group, Tiger Global, SoftBank Group and Bharti Entreprises.

InstaLively is not Hike’s first acquisition. Previously in 2015, the messenger app acquired Zip Phone to expand Messenger app’s features to improve voice call.
