Uber India has appointed Jaiteerth Patwari as their Senior Engineering Leader at its Hyderabad center. Patwari holds an experience of 22 years in product development, innovation, and management. He will now focus on developing scalable distributed real-time business platforms.

Naga Kasu, Uber India Site Lead said, “We are continuing to strengthen the engineering team in India and are confident that Jaiteerth’s expertise across sectors will help us create solutions that will further enhance the overall rider and driver partner experience”.

Before being appointed as the Senior Engineer for Uber India, Jaiteerth was heading the LeMall R&D division at LeEco and has also worked with chipmaker Qualcomm.

India has the largest market for Uber after the US and accounts for about 12 % of all Uber trips globally, according to the last year data. Uber is operating its cab services in 29 cities of India.

It has two engineering centers in India- Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, combinedly accommodating 100 people. The team works in areas like safety, payments, driver growth, maps, vehicle telematics and rider experience.
