Cofounders of travel assistant startup Mezi, Swapnil Shinde and Snehal Shinde have a different choice of Hindi movie superstar.

These two twins share everything common starting from their college and companies and having immense love towards sketching and painting to the ups-and-downs of entrepreneurship.

In one of the interview, Snehal Shinde stated that ” The major advantage they had was, they never had to look for a co-founder ” .

The twin brothers recently sold their second startup Mezi, to American Express for $ 125-150 million.

The story of their success started with the film-like plot twist that motivated them to have a startup.

The Pune brothers persuaded their  Masters in Computer Science at The University of Southern California (USC) and could not relive listening to Hindi film songs. So they came up with a music-streaming website called Dhingana which in the year 2007 became hugely popular.

Their success has not just been to chance or by luck. It has all been a story of proper planning and plotting.

One of the famous organization Yahoo witnessed the presence of Snehal in year 2006 and became part of the team that handled services such as Yahoo Finance, Sports, and News, adding up to the knowledge how to build scalable platforms.

One of their colleagues, Ash Lilani of Samma Capital, which backed Mezi during its series-B fundraising round in2016 states that ” The two brothers are very complimentary and can finish each other’s sentence or tell about their thinking”.

In 2011 the Pune brothers decided to quit the job at Yahoo and work for their music-streaming website as it was growing popular on a larger scale.

The popular music streaming website, Dhingana gave the twins great exposure and lessons that made both the brothers ready to have a start with Mezi.

Working at Dhingana witnessed more than half of the core leadership team of nine people that had worked at Mezi also.
