Jeff Epstein, a former CFO of Oracle, and current operating partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, has been appointed to the advisory board of Moglix, aB2B industrial products marketplace.

The company is hoping to utilise the experience of Jeff Epstein in enhancing Moglix’s global outreach initiatives. Jeff specialises in B2B SaaS and advertising technology companies. He holds an MBA from Stanford University.

Commenting on this development, Rahul Garg, CEO, Moglix, said,

Apart from Jeff, the company’s advisory board includes people like Tata Group Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata and former Google & Twitter exec Shailesh Rao.

As of his working experience, he was the CFO and executive vice president of Oracle between 2008 and 2011. He has also worked with DoubleClick (now acquired by Google), King World Productions (acquired by CBS Corp) and Nielsen’s Media Measurement and Information Group.

Moglix was founded in 2015 by Rahul Garg. The company operates a B2B marketplace that offers industrial products such as fasteners and industrial electrical, hardware, pneumatics and safety items. It claims to have partnered with over 1,500 manufacturers and distributors across these categories in India, China and Taiwan.

Recently, the company raised around Rs 80 crore in its Series B funding round from International Finance Corporation (IFC) — the private sector investment arm of the World Bank and venture capital fund Rocketship.
