Bengaluru-based IT solutions provider Mphasis has acquired US-based technology services firm Stelligent System for around ₹180 crore ($25 million), in an all-cash deal.

Post acquisition, the new unit will be called Mphasis Stelligent, a part of Mphasis’ Digital Business and it will focus on enterprise customers.

The latest acquisition will strengthen the IT service provider’s capabilities in DevOps and Containerization and enhance its existing managed services capabilities.

Founded in 2007, Stelligent provides DevOps automation professional services on Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabling engineering teams to focus on creating software users love. Stelligent has enabled a number of fortune 500 companies with continuous integration and delivery solutions on AWS.

Prior to the acquisition, Stelligent operated as an independent unit of Hosting.com.

The acquisition will boost Mphasis’ technology team by bringing over 50 Stelligent engineers and more than 100 AWS certifications.

Mphasis provides a wide range of IT services to its clients across different industries like banking, insurance, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare, among others. Some of its services include DevOps automation services, cloud computing, and business process services.

The company has more than 22,000 employees, across 16 countries across the globe.
