Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni has acquired 25% stake in his personal capacity in Chennai-based technology enabled sports startup, Run Adam. MS Dhoni will be the brand ambassador of the startup and he will also play a vital role as a mentor.

Run Adam is the provider of India’s first 360-degree sports ecosystem. It will leverage analytics technology to connect athletes with appropriate coaches, sponsors, experts, academies, among others, along with providing nutrition tips and many other tips to help the athletes during various stages of their careers.

Registration on the platform is free and it is available as an app on both Android and iOS enabled devices.

K. Yeragaselvan, CEO, and MD of Run Adam, said, “India is yet to achieve its full potential in sports and this is not because there is a lack of talent in the country. Pursuing sports is expensive in terms of money, time and other sacrifices that one has to make. Most sportspersons are self-funded and often don’t come from affluent backgrounds, and many cannot reach their goal mainly due to lack of access to resources. Run Adam aims to bridge this gap in sports.”

There are vast disparities among different sports in the country, with some sports players not getting the deserved opportunities. Run Adam can help those athletes, along with the sport itself by connecting them to the right people.

The startup has a potential to help athletes from weaker backgrounds by providing them with the desired opportunity. This will help develop sports ecosystem in the country and also help with talent discovery for scouts and coaches.
