ClearTrip, a Mumbai-based, online travel platform, has picked Rajiv Thondanoor, who is a former Ola executive, and placed him as company’s chief product officer, cited ET.

Given my passion for travel and the customer-first culture at Cleartrip, this feels like a natural home,” said Thondanoor on his appointment.

Thondanoor has over 16 years of experience in consumer internet and enterprise businesses. Over the course of his career, he has been associated with many global technology brands in India and Silicon Valley.

While, founded by Stuart Crighton in 2006, Cleartrip offers a platform for customers to book flights, hotels, trains, and manage their trips. The startup claims to sell more than 10 million flight tickets and 1.5 million hotel room nights annually.

In the online travel segment, Cleartrip competes with the likes of MakeMyTripIxigo, and Yatra.com, among others.
