Nexus Venture Partners, Omidyar Network leads series A round in edtech startup White Hat Jr

WhiteHat Jr, an edtech startup, has secured $10 million in a series A round led by Nexus Venture Partners, and Omidyar Network. While, Owl Venture also participated in the round.

The platform will use the freshly infused funds to strengthen their technology platform, expand the course curriculum as well as increase consumer awareness.

White Hat Jr was founded by Karan Bajaj in 2018. The firm helps kids between ages 6 to 14 build commercial-ready games, animations and apps online using the fundamentals of coding.

It has developed their own original coding curriculum, which is centered on product creation, and imparts their lessons via live, interactive online classes.

The startup claims to have seen over 150,000 student trials, over 500 teachers onboarded and 100% month-on-month student and revenue growth.

Moreover, other edtech startups, which are growing at an impressive rate include BYJU’s, Toppr, Clap Global, Mintbook, MyMBA Circle, and many more.
