Shalabh Seth, the chief executive officer of Ola Fleet Technologies, which is the cab leasing arm of Ola, has resigned from the company. Shalabh Seth is expected to leave the firm later this month to pursue his entrepreneurial interests.
He joined the company in January this year. Prior to joining Ola Fleet, he was the managing director of beer company SABMiller India. At Ola Fleet, he was monitoring supply and growth through leasing and other driver-focused initiatives.
Ola has witnessed multiple exits from its top deck this year. Rajiv Bansal, who joined Ola as Chief Finance Officer in November 2015, had quit the company in February this year.
Earlier, Abhimanyu Rawal, the senior manager of Ola’s luxury business had left the company in January this year after joining in September 2015. The company’s marketing lead Raghuvesh Sarup, head of engineering Sriram V Iyer, and Chief Operating Officer for offline initiatives Anuj Bhargava had also quit earlier this year.
According to several former and current executives at the company, the main reason behind Ola’s struggles to retain talent is its demanding work culture. As per the sources in the company, more executives at the middle and senior levels are likely to leave in the next two months.
