Paytm‘s parent One97 Communication has partnered with online women’s community Sheroes, to launch “Social Community Platform” exclusively for women as an interactive social feed.

The latest initiative is aimed at empowering women with informative content on personal development, career guidance, health, lifestyle and inspirational stories specially curated by “Sheroes”.

Talking about the initiative, Deepak Abbot, Senior Vice President, Paytm, said, “This is an important initiative towards women’s empowerment as it provides specially curated content and various communities that they can participate in as per their interests.”

This feature is available inside “Paytm Inbox” in accord with the platform’s newly launched content-based services that include news, live TV, cricket, entertainment and games.

Sheroes was founded by Sairee Chahal in 2013, with its headquarter in Delhi. The startup provides a platform for women to engage in conversations across various topics like health, careers, relationships, achievements, and moments.

Earlier in September 2018, Sheroes raised a fresh funding round from venture capital firm Leo Capital and angel investor Anand Chandrasekaran, Head of Platform & Product Partnerships of Messenger at Facebook.

The partnership will enable Paytm to leverage Sheroes’ expertise and help the digital payments giant to work towards women empowerment, through its new platform.

Recently, it was reported that Paytm had set up its wholesale business, in order to leverage the growing B2B opportunity like e-commerce rivals Amazon and Flipkart.
