TailsLife, a mobile application for pet care, has announced that it has raised an undisclosed round of bridge funding from existing investor V. Balakrishnan — chairman of Exfinity Ventures.

The company says that it has  also received commitments from other investors. Thus, it has decided not to close this round and keep it open to secure further investments.

Speaking about the usage of the newly raised fund, Balaji Ramesh, CEO at TailsLife, said,

We will utilise the latest round of investment to add more value to our services and products line-up in the coming months. Soon, we will offer on-demand services and healthy meal solutions for pets.

Prior to this funding round, the company had raised an undisclosed amount in its angel funding round that was raised in December last year. That round saw participation from Balakrishnan and Norwest Venture Partners India’s Mohan Kumar in their personal capacity, along with Encube Venture Partners and others.

Founded in November 2015 by Ramesh and Kanishk Lihala, Bengaluru-based TailsLife provides content and services for pet care needs including booking grooming parlours, boardings centres and vets in the vicinity.

The company is aiming to become a one-stop app for every pet requirement. The team also want to take this ease for pet parenting from the home market, of Bengaluru, to the rest of India.
