Gurugram-based healthcare delivery startup Pristyn Care has raised around ₹85 crores ($12 million) in series B round led by Sequoia Capital India, Hummingbird Ventures, Greanoaks Capital and AngelList, as reported by Inc42. The freshly infused funds will be used to boost technology and expand healthcare operations.

This funding comes months after Pristyn Care raised ₹26 crores ($4 million) in series A round led by Sequoia Capital India in June 2019.

Harsimarbir Singh, Co-Founder of Pristyn Care, said, “At Pristyn, we employ only the most advanced medical technology, which was earlier limited to corporate hospitals, as against conventional surgical techniques. We have invested in building strong operational capability to extend advanced surgical care not only to patients in metros but also to smaller cities such as Bhopal, Chandigarh, and Patna. With our asset-light and technology-enabled approach, we are able to bring down the cost of advanced surgeries by almost 30-40 per cent, compared to larger corporate hospitals’.”

Pristyn Care was founded by Harsimarbir Singh, Dr. Vaibhav Kapoor and Garima Sawhney in 2018. It offers patients affordable advanced surgical care through innovative surgical techniques and recovery measures. With over 200 hospital partners and more than 70 clinics, the healthtech startup has a presence across Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

With the Indian healthcare sector expected to grow at a CAGR of 22%  during the period of 2016-2022, it is poised to reach $372 billion in 2022, according to an IBEF report. It is no surprise that the Indian startup ecosystem is booming with innovative healthtech startups.

Some of the healthtech startups competing with Pristyn Care include Consure Medical, Portea Medical, iGenetics, DocsApp and Oncosem Diagnostics, among many others.
