Gurgaon based real estate and property review platform Roofpik has acquired product delivery platform called Shoppist. The merger aims to strengthen the relation between founders and the employees. Roofpik’s team and Shoppist users have to see the new platform and the users will get better services, claimed by the companies. After the acquisition, report came that Divij Goyal founder of Shoppist, will join the Roofpik board as Chief Marketing Officer, Rivals be aware as they both have the vast area of network and good connections in the real estate market.

Roofpik is a real estate property review focused platform, was founded in June 2016, by Arpit Mittal and Kanika Katoch. It has placed data analytics at the core of its property review and search platform where people can read, write & talk about their experiences, by sharing their experience public get to know about the property and what are the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing that property. On other side, Shoppist is a Bengaluru based company was founded in 2015 by Divij Goyal. It is a personalised product discovery platform that uses NLP as a technology to find the relevant product from over 100 shopping channels. They provide quality products to their users and also manufactures and transform the products from time to time.

Arpit Mittal, co-founder, Roofpik, has mentioned that “Divij and the Shoppist team bring a fresh boost of expertise to the core team of Roofpik. This acquisition will help us build a robust and experience-oriented product with the potency to give voice to the people in real estate industry.”

Divij Goyal, founder of Shoppist, has commented that “There’s a clear gap in the real estate space which can be addressed by offering user-generated reviews/ratings of properties and agents. I hope this acquisition will definitely help to build Roofpik a bigger and a valuable brand for users and the consumers will be satisfied more with the services”.
